“Be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:20
The Bible contains several promises from God. This sounds like one of them, don’t you think? “I am with you always,” He says. I know that in my heart, but I’m not sure that I consciously think about it that often. One of the things that makes God, God,
is that He can be with all of us at all times. So, when things are rough and we even have a hard time believing it, He is there! When things are good and we get busy with our own agenda – God is there! When we become aware of His presence, we are
likely to respond in the way that is pleasing to Him. When we fail, God is still there to grant forgiveness and yet another chance. Thank you God, for your promises!

Can you imagine being a shepherd in the fields that night? Suddenly you see an angel right there in your midst. Scripture tells us the glory of the Lord shone around them. What do you think that was – a light maybe? To top it all off the Angel spoke, “Be not afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the people; for to you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you, you will find a babe wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” Then, would you believe, there were a multitude of other angels praising God! If you had been one of those shepherds, how would you feel? Disbelief? Shock? Total awe? Well after the angels left, the shepherds abandoned their flocks and in faith went to Bethlehem to see for themselves. What will we do to seek a special experience with Jesus this Christmas?
